The Monsters of the Cloud Forest have been especially aggressive, and must be taken care of. ![]() Here you will be have to aid a local tribe of wyverian and humans, who call themselves the Cloud Children. ![]() After bringing this news to the Head Explorer, the Exploratory Airship will take you to the third locale, The Cloud Forest. After investigating and cataloguing some of the species present (hunting some large monster natives), the local Grimalkynes will inform you of 'glowing clouds' that have been appearing in the night sky as of late. Using this you will travel to the next zone, The Thundering Plains. Once you have gained the trust of the Head Explorer, the leader of the expedition, you will be given a small one man airship that allows you to fast travel to locales across a larger world map. The New Hunter will prove their worth by descending into the Grand Mountains to hunt and gather materials. The main hub will be the Exploratory Airship, with a small settlement called Wyvernsnest being erected near the first locale, the Grand Mountains. Having scraped together a small team of ace hunters, researchers, scholars and technicians (including the player character), the Field Team Leader (now Commander) sends you far beyond the mountains of the Elders Recess and into the new lands. In this time of prosperity, the Commission can now focus on exploring deeper into the heart of the New World. The Sapphire Star has become the Leader of the Research Comission, serving back in the Old World to guard the ships passing from there and the New World ports from attacks by monsters. Many years after the events of Monster Hunter World: Iceborne, the Research Commission has turned Seliana and Astera into thriving ports of trade between the Old World and the New. ![]()
